1. Masjid ul Haraam (The Grand Mosque) أَلمَسْجِد أَلحَرَام

The Holiest place in Mecca is Masjid ul Haraam as Khana e Kaaba ( ٱلْكَعْبَة ٱلْمُشَرَّفَة‎ ) is in this mosque along with Zam Zam ( زَمْزَم ) Well, Maqam e Ibrahimi and many other sites. Masjid ul Haraam is the most sacred place and mosque of Islam where Pilgrims get 100,000 virtues and blessings for the single good deed.

2. Hajra-e-Aswad ( ٱلْحَجَرُ ٱلْأَسْوَد )

Hajra-e-Aswad is the Black stone attached in south wall of ka’aba, which is believed to come from Jannat (paradise), installed primarily by Hazrat Adam (A.S) and later by our beloved Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H).

3. MAQAM E IBRAHIM ( مَـقَـام إِبْـرَاهِـيْـم )

Opposite to Hajra e Aswad there is the MAQAM E IBRAHIM (Station of ABRAHAM) where hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) stood the during the construction of Ka’aba. Muslims are commanded by ALLAH to offer two rakats of Salat (namaz) behind MAQAM E IBRAHIM.

4. Safah and Marwah ( المروة‎,الصّفا )

Safa and Marwa are other blessed places where pilgrims have to complete seven rounds between these two hills in the memory of Hazrat Ismail (عليه السلام) and His mother Bibi Hajra.

5. The Birthplace of our Holy Prophet 

The Birthplace of our Holy Prophet is situated outside the Bab e Marwah (Marwah gate). Nowadays this place is converted into a library under Saudi government supervision. Visitors come here and recite Darood Sharif on beloved Prophet (P.B.U.H).

6. Jabl e Abu Qabees ( جبل أبو قبيس )

Near to the Birthplace of our Holy Prophet, there is a mountain known as Jabl e Abu Qabees where Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) split the moon into two parts.

7. Jannat al-Mu’alla ( جنة المعلاة / مقبرة المعلاة )

Jannat ul Mu’alla also known as ” Al-Hajun” is the most famous cemetery after Janna tul Baqi, Jannat ul Mualla is situated very near to Masjid ul Haraam in Mecca where many Family members and Companion (Sahaba) of Prophet Muhammad( صلى الله عليه وسلم ) are buried including Hazrat Khadija (Prophet’s first wife), Hazrat Qasim (Prophet’s eldest son) Hazrat Abdullah (Prophet’s younger son) along with Asma Bint AbuBaker, Hazrat Abdullah Bin Zubair. his ancient cemetery was respected even before the birth of Mohamed (PBUH), and remains so to this day.

8. Jabl e Noor (جبل النور)

Another Holy mountain in Mecca is Jabl e Noor where Prophet Muhammad use to talk (P.B.U.H) to Allah through Waheeh ( وحي ). People climb to that cave known as Ghar e Hira ( غَـار حِـرَاء) for supplications.

9. Mina

From some distance to Masjid e Haram there is the ground Known as Mina which is the primary destination of pilgrims to start Hajj. Mina is also known as The City of Camps where three pillars represent the temptations of Satan and Hajis stone pebels to them in memory of Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S).

10. Arafat (عَرَفَات)

After Mina there is ground Known as Maidan e Arafat where all the pilgrims gather to listen to the Hajj Sermon.

11. Muzdalifa  (مُزْدَلِفَة)

At the end of Arafat, pilgrims visit Muzdalifa; it is four kilometers long and covers an area of 12.25 square kilometers where pilgrims spend a night and worship to ALLAH and collect the pebbles to stoning the Satan.
