Guidelines for The Pilgrims To Perform Hajj Effectively

Following are the most important guidelines to perform Hajj.

  • Congratulations to you on your journey of Hajj to Mecca and Madinah.
  • Be sure that your documents for this journey are ready at least 3 to 4 days before departure. Take some guidance from an experienced person, this will be beneficial for you during traveling.
  • The pilgrim (Haji) must have an intention that I will perform Hajj solely for the attainment of the pleasure of Almighty Allah.
  •  You must be stable enough to perform hajj, physically, financially and mentally. If these elements are missing you will lack with your worship.
  •  Pilgrims must learn the rules and methods to perform Hajj and Umrah instead of copy other’s action along with Sa’ai and Tawaf supplications.
  •  Pilgrims are not allowed by authorities to carry with them fruits, cooked food, sweet-meats etc so be sure that carry some half cooked food with proper steal cane packing
  •  Make some walking habit on a daily basis, 15 days before going to Hajj as you have to walk 7 to 8 kilometers there form your accommodation to Masjid including Tawaf and Sa’ ai. (To walk 45 minutes a day is also very beneficial from the medical point of view.)
  •  During 5 days of hajj Stick to a very strict diet, this will be beneficial for you, as there is a long queue outside the bathrooms in Mina and Arafat.
  •  Women should take flat slippers instead of high heels slippers because you have to walk a lot.
  •  While traveling you should not take any parcel or packet from strangers even to hold, sometimes this will put you on legal issues.
  •  Never forget to take a prescription with your medicines as this will be strictly checked at the airport
  •  Most importantly you must know the Namaz-e-Janaza (funeral prayer) and Qasr Namaz   (The method of prayer in Journey-traveling).
