Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam and must be performed by an eligible person at least once in a life. . As it is the Holy duty, every year more than 3 lacs Muslims apply for hajj from Pakistan. Hajj Policy 2017 and Hajj scheme 2017 will announce by Ministry of Hajj (Pakistan) and they has to accept these applications according to quota given by the Government of Saudi Arabia & Hajj scheme 2017. And Ministry of hajj completes this process through balloting. According to Ministry of Religious Affairs of Pakistan, approx. 143,368 pilgrims will perform their Holy duty in Hajj 2017. According to Ministry of Religious Affairs, this year 50% Hajj quota is given to Private Hajj Operators/Groups and the remaining 50% Hajj quota will be under the surveillance of Government Hajj Scheme 2017. Minister of religious affairs announces that the Holy water of Zam Zam will be provided to every pilgrim on return to their country, at their local airports, about 5 litres per person as per Hajj Policy 2017 & Hajj Scheme 2017.
Ministry of Hajj also establish the Hajj operation monitoring system, this is the part of their hajj scheme. Through this, the complaints of the pilgrims will be attended and their solution will be provided through calls, emails and special monitoring teams. The team of 450 doctors will also be the part of Hajj operation to facilitate the pilgrims especially in Mina and the 5 days of Hajj.
