After completing the circumambulation seven times, a person should continue to move in a counter clockwise direction till he reaches to his exit point.

How many Types Of Tawaf are there:

There are seven types of Tawaf;

• Tawaf-ul-Qudoom: Tawaf e qudoom, It is performed when a person arrived at Makkah whether for Hajj, Umrah, Business or a visit. It is also called a welcome Tawaf. It is sunnah for Aafaaqi (who lives outside Makkah) who performs Hajj Ifraad or hajj Qiraan and it is not a Sunnah for those who are performing Hajj Tammatu or Umrah even if they are an Aafaqi.

Aisha said, “The first thing the Prophet (ﷺ) did on reaching Mecca, was the ablution and then he performed Tawaf of the Ka`ba and that was not `Umra (alone), (but Hajj-al-Qiran).” http://www.gowister.com/hadith/bukhari/1582/

• Tawaf-ul-Ziarah:
• It is also called Tawaf-ul-Rukn or Tawaf-ul-Hajj. It is performed by all pilgrims who are undertaking the Hajj. This Tawaf is mandatory. Hajj would be invalid, if it is not performed. It can be performed from the dawn of 10^th Zil haj to 12^th Zil haj.

• Tawaf-ul-Wada (Tawaf-e-Sadr):

It is a farewell Tawaf and performed as a final ritual of Hajj when a pilgrim leaving Makkah. It is wajib. Prophet ﷺ said: “Let none of you leave Makkah before making a Tawaf around the Ka’abah, as the last of Hajj rites” http://islamhelpline.net/node/4759

• Tawaf-ul-Nafl:
• Tawaf-ul-Nafl is an optional tawaf but it is better than performing a nafl salaat. It can be performed at any time and as desired. Perform Tawaf as much as you can, when you are in Makkah because this privilege cannot be gained anywhere in the world.

• Tawaf-ul-Umrah:
• Tawaf-ul-Umrah is a part of Umrah and performed as a ritual of Umrah. It is obligatory for the one who performs Umrah.

• Tawaf-ul-Nazr:
• If a person pledged that he will perform Tawaf if his desire is fulfilled by Allah. Then, he must have to perform this Tawaf if Allah fulfills that desire.

• Tawaf-ul-Tahiyaah:

It is performed when a person enters in Haram. Tawaf-ul-Tahiyaah is Mustahib.

After Tawaf, the person has to offer two units behind Maqam-e-Ibrahim (if possible, otherwise they may offer that two units prayer anywhere in the mosque).

Al-Khair recommends the people who wants to perform Hajj this year , to get ready with their documents along with the application fee, as government scheme is “first come first get” in its limited quota. The basic requirement for Hajj  policy 2017 is that passport must be valid till 10^th  March, 2017 who want to submit Hajj Applications.

 Hajj Policy 2017:

Hajj policy 2016 has been announced by “Sardar Muhammad Yousuf“at a news conference in Islamabad. the major points of which are as follows.

(1).Hajj applications to be received from Monday i.e. 18th April  to 26th April  2016 at selected branches of eight banks.

(2).All facilities would be provided to Pilgrims including accommodation & meal in Harmain Sharifain and refreshment at airport.

(3). Hujjaj performed Hajj during the last five years are not eligible, however Hajj e Badal is allowed.

(4).Balloting for the Hujjaj will be held on 29th April.

(5). 86021 out of 143000 (appr.) Pakistanis to perform Hajj in Govt scheme.while 57000 will go through private scheme i.e.  private Hajj packages 2017.

Documents To Be Attached With Application A/c Hajj Policy 2017:-

• Computerized CNIC (National ID Card)
• passport which should be valid up to March 31, 2017, or receipt of passport application issued by the immigration and passport office.
• 12 passport size Photographs about 4×3 cm size in blue background.
• Women applicants under 45-Years of age will have to mention their Mahram’s name and their relation with him in the application form.
• Applicant must submit their health status in advance as it will be sent to Saudi government.

‘The warrior in the cause of Allah, the pilgrim and the one who is performing Umrah are all the delegation of Allah. He called them and they responded and they will ask of His bestowals and He will give it to them.’ (Ibn Majah)

Umrah is known to cleanse one’s soul from past committed sins and Muslims all over the world perform this sacred obligation several times in a year as per their affordability. Ihram

• Focus on what you are saying when you say Talbiyyah.
• Capturing pictures of yourselves in Ihram is wrong. Pilgrims should only concentrate on their Ibadah. Taking pictures for show off might contradict your good faith.
• Do change your Ihram if it get dirty, because, cleanliness is half of faith.
• Shaving beard before, during or after Ihram is not permissible. It’s the Sunnah of our Prophet (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam).
• Pilgrims should shower with unscented soaps, because, perfumes or any fragrance is not allowed in Ihraam.
• Women should only wear the clothes which are recommended for her in Shariah.
• In Ihraam, pilgrims must abstain themselves from arguing or quarrelling.
• It is not permissible for men to cover their head in Ihraam.

In Tawaf:

• Touching the black stone is not necessary for acceptance of Tawaf. If it is impossible for you to touch the black stone then you can just raise your right hand towards it and say Allah-o-Akbar.
• Do not kiss or face your hand to the Yameni corner. You can only touch it.
• Do not worship Hajr-e-Aswad (black stone). Prophet (Sallallahu ‘Alayhi Wa Sallam) never worshipped it.
• Do not touch the walls of Ka’abah during Tawaf. Pilgrims can only touch the black stone and Yameni corner.

In Sa’i:

• Do not climb to the mountain of Safa and Marwah.
• You can take breaks when performing Sa’i.
• During Sa’i, there is no specific du’a. Pilgrims may recite Quran and say supplication.

Shaving or Trimming The Hair:

• Pilgrims (men) should shave their head completely. If they trim, they will have to take hair from all sides of their head.
• Pilgrims (women) can only cut a fingertip length of their hair.
• You cannot take off your Ihraam before shaving or trimming the hair.

In Mina, Arafah and Muzdalifah:

• Prophet (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) spend the day of 8th Dhul-Hijja in Mina. Pilgrims, sometimes, skip this and move to Arafah.
• In Mina, you are just allowed to shorten your prayer but do pray at their correct time.
• Do make the most of Arafah day. You should know the significance of this day and make as many supplications as you can.
• Pilgrims are not allowed to fast on the day of Arafah.
• Do not leave Arafah before sunsets.
• Do not pray Maghrib in Arafah. Do pray it after reaching Muzdalifah, combined with Isha prayer.

When performing Ramy (stoning):

• Do not wash your stones.
• Do not say Bismillah when throwing stone, just say Allah-o-Akbar.
• Do not curse or throw sandals/wood at Jamarah. Jamarah is not a devil, nor devil are tied in it for stoning. It is the command of ALLAH to say ALLAH -o-Akbar when throwing each stone.
• Just throw seven pebble (separately) at each Jamarah.
• Stoning should be done before the time of Zawal.

In Tawaf Al-Wada (farewell tawaf):

• Do perform stoning of final Jamarah before Tawaf Al-Wada.
• Do not perform Sa’i in farewell Tawaf.
• Do spend the night of 10th Dhul-Hijja and 11th Dhul-Hijja in Mina.
• Do leave Makkah after the farewell Tawaf, otherwise, you will have to make another Tawaf.

Method of Putting Ihram and Its Prerequisite:

The method of wearing Ihram for Hajj and Umrah is the same but differs in the intention of wearing.

• Trim your nails if needed because this act is Haram (not allowed in Ihram).
• Take a bath (according to Faraiz).
• Perform Ablution.
• Use Miswak.
• Apply fragrance as after wearing Ihram you are restricted to use perfume
• Now Take Ihram (Two pieces of unsewn clothes), one for upper body which is used as a shawl and second for lower body which will be worn like “tahbands”.
  Take Ihram of towel clothing as it will be easy in movement rather than any other fabric. It is advisable to take a big shawl for Ihram, this will help you to cover the body properly.
• Remove all the sewn clothes even cap hand gloves, socks etc.
• You may also take a belt with a zipper wallet for Ihram to keep your passports and money with you. The nylon belt is durable and reliable.
